Our History

Golden Oak Milling Company is an outgrowth of the individual farm operations of Calvin Marshall Caraway and his sons Autrey, and C.M. Jr.

Because of the need for material to feed their herd of shorthorn cattle the Caraway’s started a small feed mill in 1930—with $1,000 borrowed from the bank.

From this beginning, Golden Oak has grown to a regional mill serving over 100 wholesale accounts within Texas, having the capacity of producing 100-plus tons of feed per day, most of which is pelletized and bagged.

Currently the operations are run by C.M. Caraway III, and his sons, Kevin & Kyle.

Golden Oak Milling will always strive to be the type of “down-home” business that you can depend on. With over seven decades of experience—we are here to serve you.
